    Hi all,

Right, I'm bored of my car now so I want to change it - to something more economical. I can't be bothered with huge running costs anymore so I'm looking for something fairly modern, resonable running costs but nothing major boring, around the 6-7k area. I'm a bit clueless to be honest because nothing springs into my head when I try to think of what I want. Any ideas? :)

What sort of performance do you want? Does it need to be practical? What do you want from a car?

Performance isn't a huge concern as long as it doesn't take an hour to get to 60. 8 seconds or thereabouts. Practicality again isn't much of an issue, I just want a decent car to get around in that I can have the odd smile with now and again.

Broad choice I know. I'm open to any suggestions really. :)

You liked your Mondeo, what about a Mk3 Mondeo V6 Zetec-S?

Could get a nice MX5 for that kind of money, would certainly give you a few smiles when you felt like it :)

I'm not a huge fan of the MK3, I'm doing a quote on an ST200 as we speak. :)

    325 e46 or similar?

RWD and good driving dynamics, reasonably quick, new enough.

Not for anywhere near £6-7k, 325i was only introduced in E46 form in late 2000.

An RX7 - I heard they're very econimical :p That's pretty much the only thing I'd swap a Supra for.

mk1 172 and some change, and a big smile :)

Doesn't cost much to run imho, but I guess it depends on the person, although comeing from a Supra TT :)
