AMD 939 IHS chips on the sides

guys just purchased a 939 cpu from the bay the cpu has small chips on the side of the IHS

has anyone had a cpu like that before is it ok to install

It;ll probably be fine, the actualy die of the CPU is much much smaller contained underneath the middle of the IHS, the die is what? bit smaller than a 1st clas stamp in size?

It is really very common to have those on the edges, dunno where it comes from, installing the heatsinks I suppose, nothing to worry about :)

I dented the edges slightly on the IHS fitting the Ninja, right SOB (need to push down and clip in 4 clips at the same time, otherwise it slants up.

LOL.

When i install my ninja, i put two clips on the one side.


Then i pull upwards on it , to make it center with the cpu, then attach the other side clips.


Its easy :p
