Vega 56 is a stonking card. I've had many Nvidia and AMD cards over the years but the Vega56 is a really good buy. You can flash the Vega64 BIOS to it and let it loose. The power limiter is altered allowing you to run the 56 at almost 64 stock speeds.

I'd wait until after Monday to see what nvidia has to offer. AMD were already badly priced for gamers and it's about to get much worse on Monday.

My problem with Vega is how it was a year late to the market, uses more power/heat and costs more price/performance than nVidia, AMD is milking Freesync not costing anything vs G-Sync, adaptive syncs are great but not worth the £200 premium for G-Sync nor the performance loss going with Freesync (slower card costing more money). It will be interesting what Intel do with GPU's, apparently they'll be coming into the market within the next couple of years.

Their new twitter feed @IntelGraphics released a teaser video but 2020 is a long time away and they’ve been out of the dGPU market for so long, remember Larrabee anyone? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larrabee_(microarchitecture)

Unless Raja Khadori and Chris Hook can turn things around at Intel their going to have a real uphill struggle to gain market share, that said as consumers we should be behind Team Blue as god knows we desperately need some competion in the dGPU market.

I don't have much hope for Raja however Intel have plenty of money to get into this market, if they can hurt AMD I am sure they will do their best!

You nailed it, Intel’s strength is they spend more on R&D than AMD have in revenue so it won’t be a lack of cash. That said when you consider AMD are the only player in both CPU and GPU it shows how they have overperformed. It was only back in 2016 that AMD was predicted by many financial analysts to be out of business.

Sorry @Gibbo but does the Red Dragon 56 have the games bundle? It doesn't show up on the page as having it but the promotion at the side says it's available with Vega 56 cards.

Any chance of a clarification please?

Talking of Powercolor and Vega, are there any plans to stock the Vega 56 "Nano"?

Only if people guarantee to order it in which case I’ll put it up for pre order and when we’ve sold 10 put an order in but as it’s not a true Nano we hesitant to sell it.
