Here is some food for though. With a 52CU xbox Series x here are the enhancements added to Gears 5

Contact Shadows
Screen Space Global Illumination
50% higher particles counts than that on the PC’s ultra spec
Real time cinematics in 4K 60fps
Higher resolution textures
Improved Anisotropic Filtering
Higher Resolution Volume Fog
Higher quality Depth of Field
Extremely far Draw Distances with high level of object detail
Shadow Resolution & Shadow Distance
High quality Screen Space Reflections
Post Processing improvements like Bloom, Lens Flare, Light Shafts, etc.
Investigating 120fps multiplayer support
4K 60FPS
That's just with a 52CU cut down RDNA 2 on console. So, no these releases won't be a copy pasta from last gen to this gen for "compatibility", LOL.
So I have to wonder what a 80CU can do.

Just to add to this, the series x port was knocked up in a week (or 2). So it had none to little of the usual console optimisations in place as far as i am aware.

Jayz2cents just put out a video stating that radeons aib partners reached out to him to confirm his address. He implied that Radeon is about to send their Navi 2 cards for review. But did not know when it would come.

You missed out he also implied Thanksgiving when the consoles are released or just before.

When else have AMD failed to deliver? How did Polaris not deliver at the market segment it was intended at?
Polaris was such a strange release. It wasn't helped by very odd marketing by AMD. Do you remember the CF benchmark versus a 1080?

There was also the confusion about whether the 480 was the full chip or not.

The performance rumours were totally bizarre, around 390/390X up to Fury X and later rumours of overclocking to 980Ti/1070 and even Titan X levels. Gibbo stepped in to quash the overclocking rumours.:D

It was a wild ride :p

Edit
Added the chart to show the performance differences.

Aye, they were proper ****e for it :(

980Ti clocked really really well too, which put the nail in the FuryX's coffin!
Yeah, the 980Ti was a beast of a card. Most overclocked really well. You had to be really unlucky to get a duffer. Regretted not getting one :(

Polaris was a massive fail in its market, as i don't know anyone, who bought a VR headset to go with em.
Yes, the VR benchmark. Strange marketing indeed.

Yup, the last gen that we'll get really good clocks out of :(
Both sides leave very little headroom for overclocking now:(
Let's not forget, AMD can be real (male hen's) about stuff sometimes. Mind you, they both can!
It wasn't false claims, just very confusing and AMD didn't clarify things well.
Yeah, you're right, they're both the same at times.

Damn, seems like Horizon zero dawn got the short end of the stick. At least Death Stranding port was great perf with both AMD and NV tech... this on the other hand..

rx580/590/vega56/64/gtx1060..

1080p30fps when the ps4 pro ( equivalent gpu ) runs it at 1800p30? No FFX, no DLSS even though same engine as DS. Hopefully a patch will fix it.
