Buy the GTX 960 4GB if you are gaming at 1080p or higher.
Buy the GTX 960 4GB if you are concerned about higher power usage and temps.
Buy the GTX 960 4GB if you have a weaker CPU (under i5/ Ryzen 5 class) as AMD driver overhead is still an issue in many popular games.
Buy the R9 380 2GB if you want the faster card for gaming at lower resolutions.
Buy the R9 380 2GB if you want regular driver updates for longer.

Worth noting you can get a more modern GTX 1050 Ti 4GB for £119.99 on OcUk today that is around the same performance as the R9 380/ GTX 960. The best buy at the moment seems to be the discounted AMD RX470 4GB cards making way for the AMD RX570 4GB series @ ~£155

Thanks, that is very useful. Think the current system is ok to handle it, or will a new card be bottlenecked anyway?

Current system is:
Asus p8z68-v pro
i5 2500k
8gb hyper X
i5 2500k
CM Extremepower 650W
