Looking forward to reading 8Pack's comments once NDA/Embargoes are gone.

Nice stuff. It's actually quite tempting. I might yet retire the old X4 965.

So that's max clock speed of a single core with Precision Boost? I see 3.7Ghz is actually the base clock, which is a little disapointing.
Is that absolute, can't be OC'd further?

It's general knowledge, how the first Ryzen's worked too.

Will there be any pre-order/launch day CPU+Motherboard+Memory bundles?

Damn, that pricing is really good, same as 8700k.

Still, I'm going to wait until benchmarks come out before I splurge.

Launch day according to this article at Ars Technica. They're a pretty accurate source in my experience.

If I was in the market for an upgrade I'd definitely go for the 2700X. For all intents and purposes it looks to be as good as an 8700K with two more cores. I don't do 1080p at 1000fps so that's not an issue for me.

What will be really interesting will be Zen2 and Intel's response...
