Anomaly in Crysis 3 and VR using RTX 3080

All I can say is that I have spotted an anomaly in Crysis 3 and VR with the RTX 3080.

(1)Rig A has (RTX 3080, i7 9700,16GB DDR4 2666) runs the game maxed at 51-54 fps at 1080p and the exact same frame-rate at 4k.

(2)Rig B, laptop (GTX 1070, i7 7700HQ,32GB DDR4 2400) runs the game maxed at 65 fps at 1080p and 25fps at 4k

I have also noticed Rig A is performing the same as Rig B laptop in VR.

Note: I've tested games like anthem and the laptop could only run it at 1080p medium settings 60fps but the Rtx3080 rig would do it at 4k max settings 60fps. So the 3080 is definitely capable .

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Of course not. Crysis 3 is not in VR, but it is in 3D Stereo.

I thought this forum consisted of true tech gamers lol.

It was the power supplied to the system. The system was on balanced mode in power settings. Turning it to Ultimate Performance solved the issue.

So now Rig A , pulls 65-70 fps on 4k max settings.

I was thinking that ram needs changing soon as I started reading. Think it's my OCD but I have to have the fastest ram the board can handle weather it makes much odds at the higher end or not.

Really lol at this, coming from a guy that cant even set up his monitor right, what chances have you got in setting up VR right. lol

Those OLED tvs need too much setting up it's unreal, for a 1.8k tv.

Turn off 'global V-sync' when using VR.

But turn it on when using G-sync on the LG.
