Last week I was looking into them and spotted one place here in the UK which had a price of around £135.

Not sure what to make of that.

As OC didn't have them I've ordered from elsewhere with two WD RE2 500GB drives should have it soon. Got it to go with my TVix mainly for media streaming seemed a very good spec for the price.

There's a wiki been started http://www.nas-4220.org/index.php/Main_Page for a bit more info

It's pretty much the same hardware as the Taurus Lan

Only 2 hard drives though? Do they have any other in the pipeline with 4 or more drives?

Basically, yes. You just map the drive to whatever its been setup as. Its low powered, and cheap.

Looks like the one that'll fit my needs, though I doubt we'll see it for less than £150 if the other NAS box prices are anything to go by.

Just configure your DHCP server to give it the same address all the time.

I like the look of this. I already have a usb/sata IcyBox which has been pretty impressive.

Give us a good price Slackworth! Was about to buy a simple IDE NAS, got the option to get one cheap, but may delay and get one of these instead. Synology ones seem just too expensive, this might be more in reach :)
