Early next week.
Nice any idea on price yet?
o0o, been looking at these from the US, was wondering when they'd appear over here
These look really good and definatley something i will be buying. Would be nice to get a rough idea of price!
Last week I was looking into them and spotted one place here in the UK which had a price of around £135.
Not sure what to make of that.
I've seen them for £97.... was hoping OCUK would beat that.
As OC didn't have them I've ordered from elsewhere with two WD RE2 500GB drives should have it soon. Got it to go with my TVix mainly for media streaming seemed a very good spec for the price.
There's a wiki been started http://www.nas-4220.org/index.php/Main_Page for a bit more info
It's pretty much the same hardware as the Taurus Lan
Only 2 hard drives though? Do they have any other in the pipeline with 4 or more drives?
sorry how do those NAS work? do you plug the ethernet connection into the router and then like everyone can access it through that or what?
was thinking about getting something like this (i'm on wireless btw)
Basically, yes. You just map the drive to whatever its been setup as. Its low powered, and cheap.
Looks very nice
Oooh, tempted by this!!
If its < £100 then
Looks like the one that'll fit my needs, though I doubt we'll see it for less than £150 if the other NAS box prices are anything to go by.
Wonder if it will do standard Static IP's.. The Netgear one doesnt...
Just configure your DHCP server to give it the same address all the time.
I like the look of this. I already have a usb/sata IcyBox which has been pretty impressive.
Give us a good price Slackworth! Was about to buy a simple IDE NAS, got the option to get one cheap, but may delay and get one of these instead. Synology ones seem just too expensive, this might be more in reach
Will have these on the site tomorrow/Monday.
Nice, should be interesting to see the price of these.
