Is there any sckt 1156 motherboard which can do x16 and x16 for crossfire. Or is it only possible on a x58 chipset?

Unfortunately not, even the most expensive P55 boards like the EVGA p55 Classified 200 are limited to x8 when using multi-GPUs.

As well as the X58 platform, AMD boards like the 790FX can do x16x16.

Actually the Maximus 3 extreme will let you have up to 3 at 16x. I think the EVGA *** 200 lets you have 16x for the primary and 8x for the secondaries.

Like Temi D said, you're not going to notice the performance difference if you drop down to 8x. Bear in mind that some brands disable the 2nd slot if you enable SATA 3/USB 3, as they use the 2nd 8x lane.
