Anyone bought a Barratt Home recently?

My old man viewed one recently and said it was far too over-priced and "you couldn't swing a cat in that living room". Probably just the location. Ones down the road from me are beatiful, not a clue on their price though.

all new houses are the same

land is now so expensive that to get the same profitability out of sites, they have to make new houses vastly smaller than they used to

imho youd be better buying a nearly new house that will be a lot bigger, and has been lived in a while so somebody else has had the fight of getting everything fixed

prices have only sky rocketed in the last 5/6 years or so. Our house was bought for 70k (market value at the time, now worth 100). The guy selling us the house bought it for 10k 6 years ago.

Still, on the bright side at least you can buy stuff from Ikea which is 3/4 scale in any normal property but will 'appear' full size in a new home.
