Anyone built a go-kart?

I'm planning on welding my own pedal-powered go-kart but I'm struggling to find steering parts, hubs and other such things. Anybody done this before and/or know where to get the main components?

I'd like to use 20-24" fat bike wheels and maybe put a 9-speed cassette on it for some gears but as this is a first go I'm eager to just get something that rolls.

Last one I built was powered by gravity and steered with rope. Unless you count the pulse jet powered one we built at university.

Check out Colin Furze on youtube if you can stand his obnoxiously loud, fake enthusiasm, he does actually make some cool stuff. pretty sure he made a go cart at some point, which might give you some ideas on how to do the steering.
