thats exactly why i moved from bt, they are a joke, you get no where with the cs as its in india.

Moved to Be and its a million times better. Perfect speeds all the time, never changes day or night. Cant recommend them enough

We've had terrible connection speeds here with BT for some time now and we're paying for the 3rd package with 'unlimited' downloads and what have you yet still on 2mb when it should be closer to 6.5 odd given our distance from the exchange.

Will have to get onto BT to have it changed as it's taking the **** having been paying for something we've not been getting for some time now ...

ffs, been on the phone TWICE today to bt and they have been no help. The second one rang my mobile because he wanted me off the land line :s.... left me on speaker phone for 5-10minutes (was actually 20) while they did some tests....while im there waiting for them to say hello...they cancelled the call, wtf!

I am on BT option 3 (was 4 originally), was getting 6.5mb until i moved house, i'm now 4 miles from the exchange and speed is 512mb (58kb/s) :( .
Its been this way since i moved (two years ish) but figured it was my distance from the exchange so never checked.
Saturday I decided to call and reduce my option to save money on what I nolonger use as much due to the slow speed...
Was put through to tech support to run a test as, the engineer thought I should be getting more, only for them to then discover that somehow they have moved me to a fixed 512mb circuit :( !!!

They have now put in a request to move me back to the max circuit and so I should see around 2-2.5mb tonight :)

Surfice to say that once this is working I will be making a complaint as I have been paying for Max ADSL for nearly two years and the hole time it was capped on 512mb :( !!!

The engineer had given me the link to the BT speed tester page and I was waiting for a java update to DL, while he explained the test proceedure, as he finished he then stopped and said "hold on, I've found the fault.... you're on a fixed rate circuit..."
