System Spec: AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 160gb hard drive, 2gb ram, Nvidia 6600gt AGP, XP Home.

Installed Area 51 and installed the patch. Whilst playing the game particulary during firefights parts of the screen where the gun aim (the crosshair is it? +) is becomes very blocky. In fact when this first starts to happen If I move the aim via the mouse, everywhere the aim goes it wipes out the detail and becomes all smudged.

Does anyone know why/how this happens? and how to remedy this.

    Thanks people.

I played this game on a similar spec system and didn't get such problems. I did find however that the engine doesn't handle high framerates (>100fps) very well at all and hence you have to use vsync to avoid some bugs.

Might be worthing checking in nvidia control panel to make sure you haven't got any strange settings in there.

I wouldn't know a strange setting if it hit me in the face. How do you check for Vsync?

Its okay folks, problem solved. Apparently problems like this are common in the 6 series of the Nvidia cards and it was addressed in there latest Forceware drivers 84.21 I think so installed the drivers and Bob's your uncle or is he?
