    Hi,

Looking for some advice. I purchased the Asus M2NPV-VM for a new 3500+ AM2 CPU. Everything has installed properly except for the SoundMax audio drivers. I used the Asus instALL app which supposedly installs all the drivers automatically but every time it attempts to install the SoundMax driver it reports it has succeeded, reboots and the driver is not installed. If I try to manually install the xp driver then I get the message that there has been an audio driver may have just been uninstalled and a reboot will be required, even though there is no driver installed and there is no Soundmax software present.

I've tried downloading the latest SoundMax drivers but when I install them I get a message saying that "no driver found" during the install.

Any ideas? Should I just bite the bullet and reinstall XP fresh to attempt to reinstall from the beginning?

Ok, been reading the Asus forums and there is a few problems with their on board soundcards if you don't have SP2 installed. Will try that tonight.
