Hello!

I've just got round to putting the CPU into my motherboard.
I have an ASUS P5N-D and a Quad 2Core (Q9550) that I've put in.

I lifted the retention tab, popped out the loading bay and insert the chip. However, when I go to put the retention tab back down there is a lot of physical resistance. Instinctively I thought that this is wrong. Am I right to believe it should lock in with ease?

Any help would be much appreciated :)

It is in the right position, and the pegs align (indents).
Just I didn't expect it to be so tough... it's like the force that could snap a pencil with ease... and maybe a cheap Biro....
