So I've gone ahead and done something very stupid.

Whilst pushing in the USB3 cable into the motherboard's USB3 header, I managed to push and destroy two of the pins, one of which completely snapped off, as so...

So now the USB slots on the front of my case no longer work :(

My question is - does anyone know if any PCI-E 1X cards exist that allow the case's USB3 cable to be plugged into it so I can restore USB3 functionality on the front of the case? That's if, of course, the cable will stretch out that far, which I'm a little doubtful of in the first place!

Any advice is welcome!

Get a pci-e addon card then, they're around £6 on the bay. I have a few here in various pc's. There's always been enough length on the cable from the front panel to reach. Just be aware you'll need a molex that can reach the addon card too.
