ATi Tool

    Ya know that ATi Tray tool thing that you can download. When you click on the button that gives the box with the fuzzy square in it, why does it make your GFX temps shoot up like crazy?!

    Its only a fuzzy box!

    Good question.

    It's just really good at fully loading the GPU.

    Yeh it is only a fuzzy little box but it is 3D stuff in there and a lot of detail too by the looks of it :)

    Great way to test the possible heat of your new OC ^^

    what it gose is scan for artifacts which ar little errors in the graphics card. in order to do this it runns a lot of volts through it hense the temp rise. if it starts to find artifacts and the card will start to overheat and the comp should restart it self.

    i recently modded my X800GTO2 and put an artic cooler on the card. then overclocked it to X850 XTPE speeds (core 540.00/ mem 589.50) then ran that program. and after 50 minutes it was stable at 60 degrees
