I have a Audigy 2 ZS and I want to connect it to my 5.1 sound system (JVC THR1) and I want digital sound the JVC has coaxial and optical inputs so the question is what cable do I need to do this?, If I can't get digital is there any other cables I can get to connect it normaly thanks.
You should have digital coax out on the audigy. See the furthest right connection in this shot; http://images.creative.com/iss/images/corporate/artwork/art_sbAudigy2ZS_Prod.jpg
Had the same thoughts when I got mine mate, just get hold of a stereo to 2x phono connector (I bought a bag of 5 from ebay for a couple of quid personally - mail in trust and I will send you one if you need one) then plug in the digital co-ax into one of the sockets. http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/AD012.html is what you are after matey.
Just an RCA to RCA digital coax cable will do it. Can get a fairly decent one for around £12-£15 for 1.5M
Doesnt work mate, the socket on the Audigy is a headphone 3.5mm connection. You need the item I posted as well as that.
You will only get 5.1 sound tho with DD5.1/DTS DVD's or Games... You wont get 5.1 sound on al games like you would with an Nforce2 chipset and DD5.1 realtime encoding...
