Looking forward to the Brundle and Newey bit with Newey's Lotus 49 R8. One of the greatest F1 cars of all time. Shame it's a 1969 49B and not an original 1967 49, but only a single example of that remains, Chassis R3 and its at the Beaulieu museum, but it's a runner. But even then, R3 wasn't one of the cars at the Dutch GP that year, it was built for the British GP later in 1967.

Anyway. Newey's 49B was originally in the Tasman race series with a 2.5 Litre Ford DFW, was then fitted with a 3litre DFV later int he year and then ran in B spec for the remains of the 1969 season (Although it only did 3 Grand Prix starts). In 1970 it was converted to the 49C spec and ran as that until it retired in 1972.

As expected Ferrari are losing the development war. Mercedes looking faster and faster.

Come again? Wasn't it you who said the season was already over, give it to Vettel after about 2 or 3 races? Now as 'expected' Ferrari are losing the development war?

:p

This forum never disappoints, never takes long in a lewis hamilton season for the complaints to start about every single little thing in a season not being equal and fair. Even Liverpool fans could learn a thing or two about playing the victim from Hamilton fans.

Oh shut up Brundle! You blather on about this being "racing" and not a "road safety support act" but you're conveniently ignoring that the Vettel incident was not only deliberate but took place behind the safety car when, by definition, they were not racing.
