Why can't the FIA admit/realise that the car technology has surpassed what most tracks on the calendar can offer in terms of overtaking entertainment?

Rather than use many of the current calendar tracks in their current form, or spend crazy money on tweaking them in the hope of entertainment improvement, simplify the car designs!

So what if the measurement system is not up to scratch? It is the same for everyone, and if drivers now want to dance with the sensitivity of the sensors because they think a rolling start of 3 inches will gain a significant advantage compared with the risk of a penalty for a jump start then they're welcome to try it. They can always put something more accurate in place next season.

They were told this would be the case when they shifted back to aero. FIA were so desperate to upset Mercedes engine advantages, they ignored the fact they would take overtaking back to the Trulli-train days.

I believe Sky have a 50fps UHD feed though now = 0.02 seconds/frame. I can't imagine it can be difficult to have numerous high frame rate cameras around the start line though if required
