Do B+B's normally allow 16/17 yr olds to stay there?
Or do you have to be 18+?
Not sure, although the only ones I've been in required you to be 18. I think you'd probably get away with it, or me and my ex just looked old.
Ok. Considering I got ID'd for a ******* scratch card the other day, and i'm 17, that'll be hard. But the person i'll be going with gets served drink in most pubs anyway, so i'll say i'm her brother or something
Don't do that if you're ordering a double...
I think if you can pay then you'll be OK.
I guess it depends if it's a Travel Lodge or if it's a smaller family run business?
Travel lodge harder to get into if under 18 then, yeh?
I'm just guessing as it's a bigger company so might be stricter and less flexible? /shrugs.
Could always prove you have the money, could help things.
Why not ask the one. If they say no to under 18's call back 10 minutes later.
I never had any issues sub 18 staying places, most will want to charge upfront though Make sure u have a decent card to pay with, a lot of places will look at electron and solo a bit funnily.
Ok thanks, Can you normally pay by cash?
Charge up front? Can't remember the last time I paid for a room up front.
Get someone to guarantee the room on a card and just pay with cash when you leave. Thats probably the easiest way
I havent ever had to (bar travellodge/inn where they always charge upfront) since i turned 18, but before i was i found they seemed to be ok, but want to charge upfront, something about credit to under 18's or something stupid
Gotcha, I thought you meant in general
I just wouldn't broach the issue. You get checked in then pay by cash when you leave, job done
I stayed at a travel lodge when I was 16 and they were fine though. This is Swindon though, highest teenage pregnancy rate in the UK
Enjoy the bed did you?
Totally, shame she was a **** though (or is it?)
Thats all you need.
I think we're currently losing to Oxford? I'll have to check.
Looks like we've got some work to do Rich, to the chrismobile!
