I have a Barclay Card and need to pay my balance tomorrow in order to get a few things online over the weekend.

It usually takes around 4-7 days to credit my account. If I were to pay this in a branch of Barclays (they issue the bank giro payment slip) tomorrow, would it go through the same day?

    Thanks in advance :)

Give them a ring mate, it's best to be safe than sorry. You don't want to get charged for going over limit.

Would imagine Barclays and Barclaycard are separate entities and therefore no payment would be instantaneous - however are you able to call them and perhaps pay by switch?

I don't think it makes a difference. I've paid credit cards via online banking and it still took 3 or 4 days to clear.

I dont think paying cash makes a difference matey, it does if your paying into a bank account. But all credit card payments take a few days afaik
