Looking for some basic editing software as the title goes. Now, let me explain how basic it needs to be.

My Mum is really getting into photography, you know, taking pictures of family, friends and places she visits. Currently all of the images are uploaded onto the computer and stored in folders simply titled 'Day at Brighton' or whatever. Now obviously, not all of the pictures are amazing and so i have offered to find her some free or cheap software she can use to edit the images.

    What can you offer me?

Can't go wrong with any of the mentioned ones :)

    Plenty of tutorials around too!

Try Irfanview for simple every day tasks

    www.irfanview.com

Can do a variety of resize functions, adjust colour balances, crop, negative and a few little effects too.

    Cant be bad for free!
