Would a single can of beer, the night before a bike ride, decrease my performance? I'm doing like 100 miles on my bike tomoz and don't want my performance to be lower due to a beer.

Will this can of Boddingtons do me bad?

No. In fact, your performance will increase exponentially with the number of cans consumed. Get on it.

I very much doubt one can of weak beer (Bods is 3.8% I think) will hurt

Are you taking the ****? I've performed open heart surgery after half a bottle of vodka before. Okay granted it wasn't requested, but that's beside the point.

Any reason for the 1 can? maybe skip it, if your worried about your performance.

    A single can?

Nah, can't imaging it would make any difference.

No, no real world difference, maybe if you were a top athelete competing for fractions of a second, just make sure you are properly hydrated before going to bed and more importantly in the morning.
personally if that was me i'd make a point to have a guiness or 2:D

I've rode home on a bmx after having 5 or 6 pints before. That was a very painfull ride home.

One won’t make any difference. Have you drunk it yet?

I doubt you'll notice one can. Two cans and an early start for the ride to work usually makes me notice but one can doesn't.

I recommend you drink 6 cans and forget the bike ride.

Manning up has nothing to do with it.

Riding home after drinking a fair amount is not a clever idea, I can thoroughly not recommend it.

However having a beer or two the night before is highly unlikely to impact on the next days riding at all unless you have severe reactions to alcohol anyway.

the crucial aspect that must be taken into consideration is the number of cans to bass ass ratio. at all times keep below the acceptable limit or a day of pain will ensue.

No, I can agree with that. I later found I out, if I was caught by the police, I could of been done for drink driving!

Just make sure you are nice and hydrated before your ride and you'll be fine.

Where's your ride? It's been ages since my last long ride =(
