So, new to looking for 144Hz monitors, I bought the above monitor from the MM recently only to find that it will only do 144Hz via DVI. My main gaming computer has a 2080, so no DVI. DP and HDMI only. After a bit of research, an active DP to dual link DVI adapter is needed and they are very pricey.
My other computer is more of a back up and uses an old 7970. This has DP and DVI. The issue though is that it is an old graphics card and it's pointless trying to game at framerates upto 144Hz on it.
Is there any suggestions with the monitor? Would you upgrade the 7970 to something capable of better framerates, gaming at 1080p or would you get a different monitor that has DP?
