Hello

Can you please recommend a TV:
  • 55" to 60"
  • Around £700 ~ £800
  • 4K Smart TV
  • Will use it to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+
  • Will also play occasional XBox One S games (it's a non 4K Xbox)
Thank you!

I'd go with a Panasonic TX-58HX800B 58" £700

If can stretch to £900 possibly then maybe look into the LG OLED55BX6LB

Panny if upscaling and motion handling are important

Hisense U7Q if you want FALD (rather than edge-lit) and better HDR/black levels. (£650 for 55" and £750 for 65")

I have the next level up 65" U8Q, and am very happy with it at the price point.

Good thread here with many options:

Thank you for the suggestion. Is there a reason why you recommend the Panasonic TX-58HX800B?

Support all the UHD formats hdr10 hdr10+ Dolby vision etc. Nice slim panel and as seems your main source is watching movies / series etc, it will be tuned nicely for it so won't need to change many settings. Also not so many 60" TV's around so 58" is kind of a sweet spot above a 55". Seen the TV myself and a friend has one, is very good picture and as always pannys are built very well and do last.
