I have a load of 320Kb/s MP3's that I need converting to vorbis for my mobile, what is considered the best software to do this? Google strangely doesn't seem to help much, a lot of obscure encoders that are outdated or lack format support...

dBpoweramp is the one to use, very useful piece of software. Transcoding lossy to lossy is bad though.

Your phone doesn't support MP3? What phone is it?

Another vote for dbpoweramp. Excellent converter, I use it to convert flac to MP3 for my phone. Very fast with proper multi-core support.

100 songs at 320Kb/s is 1GB if you didn't know, that's a bit of a problem on a mobile device.

    I will try poweramp.
