My mate who had only seen it on xbox, played it on my pc and was quite astounded at the (good) difference in graphics, he proceeded to then play for a few hours quite happily

Looks good, but the AA don't work proper. so in places, i.e fences, as you get jaggy lines. something EA might fix intime they said.

For longevity it has to be TF2, I got it on release day and could happily go on and play tonight if I fancied a bash. You can also get it cheap through steam deals and promo's that come around.

For recent best FPS it has to be L4D1/2 and BC2 for me at the moment.

I haven't played CSS and TF2 etc, but I'd say Call of Duty MW, MW2 + Bad Company 2 are the latest most played shooter games - That is however before All Points Bulletin comes out

Modern Warfare (either) and Bad Company 2 are two really awesome games. Anything with the Valve label on it is highly recommended as well.
