Received my copy of W7 today and i'm just wondering what the best way to go about doing a fresh install is? In the manual it says just bung the disc in and select a custom install which will wipe everything before installing. Given my innate distrust of things MS says Is there any reason for me to do it any other way?

Why are you trusting something to house all your precious data if you don't trust the manufactuer in the first place!!

But yes, it's literally a case of bunging in the disc and selecting a custom install which will wipe the data on the drive and install Windows7.
