    Howdy folks,

My girlfriends birthday this week, and she wants to go to the zoo :)

Can anyone tell me the best one we should go to?, I've been suggested Twycross and London zoo at the moment, but I'd like more info!

    Thanks in advance :)

Before reading the rest of this thread, I was thinking Chester too :(

Unfortunately, you too live near London - there's also Whipsnade to consider, no idea if any are good - not been to any down south for over 12 years.

Colchester zoo is excellent I also like Drucillas which is fun but only has small animals and Monkey World which only has monkeys (and apes) :)

Take her to one of the safari parks ,Bewdley or Woburn & see the animals having a bit more freedom as you drive around

Paighnton zoo rocks! Been there a couple of times and there's never been anything to complain about :)

    We'll see :)

Chester Zoo is better than anywhere else I've been, Colchester will have to go some to beat it :)

Another vote for Colchester zoo, very nice place and the animals look very comfortable there. Should be visiting there again next Friday.

Another vote for Colchester Zoo if you're in the Essex area or perhaps Marwell Zoo if you're more towards the West Country.
