bios flash, usb ports not working

I have just updated my MSI H67MA-E35 MB bios. I used the MSI live update utility to update the bios. As a result I have two problems. !1 all my usb ports don't work on boot up so I can't get into the bios to change any settings using the keyboard. I have also tried reseting the coms, as well as removing the battery with out any luck. the other problem is everytime I turn off the PC it restarts on its own! any ideas or solutions would be appreciated

no I don't have one, don't really want to buy one just for one use unless I have no other option but to get one.
