He didn't post 'look I took a pic of a BMW' and 'look I drove a BMW' though, he simply pointed out that you did. If you've owned one, then post up what you've owned, but posting random pics and saying you've driven one....

Cry much?

'I’m jumping on the bandwagon with the manufacturer specific threads. We need a BMW thread, so lets use this to discuss BMW and M Power cars. I know theres plenty of you on these forums with BMW’s or who have owned them in the past.'

Cry much?

No, just seems like you felt you had to join in with a thread posting toward ownership/use when there was pretty much no point given the lack of ownership.

If you'd posted along the lines of:

I feel I'd like to contribute, I've not owned a BMW but work with them and have driven some.

My only experience of driving an M3

Then I doubt anyone would have been at all bothered, instead you made it out like you own BMWs only to turn round and say 'nah don't really' which makes you look like a bit of a fool.

I'll just quote the OP again for the lads above...

Everyone welcome but don’t post in this thread if you intend to trash it or BMW’s in general.
Debate and discussion is welcome but let’s not allow it to descend into arguments.

Now put the handbags away and contribute

Yes I am the only one here who looks a fool. Its pretty obvious I own neither - mainly as one isnt out here and the other has 'BMW Driver Training' down the side of it.

I though I would show a teaser incase anyone was interested in the full thread, something I notice you didnt comment in?

This may be of interest, but ONLY FOR THE EYES OF BMW OWNERS!!!!

Where does he make out like he owned BMW's?

Get over it, it's hardly a big deal, is it?

The way he worded his post is all. As I said, worded differently neither myself or RobbieG would have bothered to mention anything (guessing on Robbie's part).

I know, and I'm not trying to trash the thread. Simply pointing out that if the post was worded differently then nobody would have been fussed at all about it.

As it happens I'd actually like to see more of the CRT, although in a smaller browser friendly image size (1440x900 screen and the posted image breaks the forum :p).

You'll notice I don't comment in many threads. ;) I did however read most of the thread you've linked before. :)

I assumed (obviously wrongly) that the intention of the thread was for people that have owned BMWs to post pics and information about the cars they owned. If it's just a random BMW porn thread for anyone that's ever owned on, then I apologise.

I am shocked, shocked to my very core, that you, prolific forums poster Robbie G, would get something wrong.

Seriously?

A guy comes into a BMW thread, posts about him driving an M3 on a driver training course and its in the wrong thread? Simon, maybe you should post it in the RenaultSport Clio Owners thread instead?

Idiots like you posting are why the first "BMW" thread was ruined in the first place. If he can't post about a BMW in a BMW thread, where else can he do it?

Oh this place makes me genuinely giggle :D

I'm gonna go buy a Clio, so then I can legitimately be in every owners club thread.

My old E36

Funny how so many BMW's have swapped between OcUK members, it's like a swingers get together, but with more leather

I have a couple of E36 328i coupes - one for business, one for pleasure.

The one for pleasure has been stripped, dropped, stiffened, made louder, quicker and infinitely less comfy.

It does feel a bit slow and boring compared previous cars ive had so looking forward to adding forced induction, should hopefully give it a kick up the arse it needs
