That looks normal - you have an active pair on blue/light blue, any extension feed would come from the points on the left (5,3,2), so the rest of the pairs are likely unused.

Would it make any difference if I plug a splitter into the hidden master socket and connected the router to it?

To completely eliminate any wiring trouble?

I finally order my FTTP, I went for the 150mb package. Used a old link through TCB @29.99pm and went through fine, currently £140 pending on my TBC account, install is set for 3rd Sept! Hopefully the cash back works

What does fttp look like on telephone masts? My area is meant to be fibre complete but I've not noticed an work going on and the openreach availability checker says it's not available yet. Loathed to renew with virgin for 18months...

I just noticed we appear to have a new addition on our telephone pole:

Does this look like a fibre splitter?

That’s what my fibre splitter looks like and we have a live FTTP service.

EDIT:
The Fibre distribution point could be as small as the 4 ports pictured at the bottom of this article

Obviously depends how many premises are fed by a single telegraph pole

Hello everyone, I am continuing my slow speed investigation, this screenshot is from speedtest.btwholesale.com

Using https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com, I can see:

WBC ADSL 2+ Up to 17 -- 15 to 18.5(I guess this is distance estimated)

Max Observed Downstream Speed 24.99
Max Observed Upstream Speed 9.86
Observed Date 2020-08-20

Shall I start with BT 151 or my ISP (who is on a go slow because of home working)

Thanks

Need to speak to your ISP. If BT aren’t your ISP they can’t do anything.

Without confirming how you are connected to the router, that you have a basic understanding of what you are doing and what the line is syncing at on the router, I wouldn’t be contacting anyone just yet.

This fascination with BT, who bills you for line/ISP?

The physical connection is from a mk4 master socket with a dedicated socket for the router connection

That you seemingly can’t tell us any basic info about how you are connected (via wired/wireless/powerline/string) or what the router is currently sync’d at or that you are the only person using the connection/nothing else is downloading makes this unreasonably difficult.
