Building a PC from scratch advice

No need for a graphics card. Get a chipset with a graphics chip built in, like AMD 780/785/790 or nVidia 9300/9400. Processor, a good dual core will suffice. RAM, 4GB because it's cheap. Hard Drive, 320/500/640 GB since there's not much between them. WD Black or Samsung F1/F3 or Seagate Barracuda etc. Optical Drive whatever you want pretty much. Lightscribe is a neat option. Case, NZXT Beta, CM Elite 335, CM Dominator 690, Antec 300, that Xigmatek one etc (it's personal opinion). Probably stick a AC Freezer Pro on there and jobs a good'n.

Power supply i would go for either the Corsair CX 400W or the PC P&C 420W.

Not sure I agree with "no gpu needed". Having a GPU makes photoshop a lot smoother in terms of rendering on screen, not to mention latest CS4 packages utilise GPU render processing alongside the CPU.
