I just tried to purchase Braid through Steam. Last thing I remember was it saying 'This transaction is almost complete' and then the tab automatically closed.

I restarted steam and nothing seems to have happened? Did this get borked and I should attempt to purchase again or does it take some time or what? I dont have access to my email address the steam account is linked to, is that the problem?

It's certainly a problem. How do you check your invoices? If you could do that, you'd have no worries.

Log in at Steampowered.com, on your account there lists all recent transactions and games you own.

Check both lists of games on your Games page, might be on the bottom undownloaded list.
