Somewhere, in a field in cheshire... alright!
Hello,

I've been trying to find which cable clips I need for a flat Ethernet cable 7 mm wide x 2 mm thick approx. Couldn't find an answer on google.

I ordered some clips from that auction place sold as 8 mm flat cable clips. I foolishly assumed 8 mm meant they would take up to 8 mm wide cable. When they arrived they were labelled as 8 mm but were too small, they were for more like a 5 mm cable. No part of the clip measured 8 mm.

How do these measurements work? What size do I need for a cable 7 mm wide?

I'd really appreciate some advice.

Thanks a lot.

I usually use RScomponents or cpcfarnell sites, which have clear proudct specification pdf's, exploded diagrams ....
once you find the part there, you know exactly how to describe it and can then purchase it elsewhere. (if you do not have enough for free postage)
