Are you asking if you're better off playing at 1440p than 1080p? I can't imagine many people preferring 1080 over 1440
1440p is much better than 1080, clearer and sharper image, more screen real estate too.
Yeah I play at this resolution. It's fantastic! Glad I made the jump actually.
I'd prefer 1080 @ 144Hz to 1440 @ 60Hz, so worth factoring that in. You can independently control render resolution to offset some of the potential bluriness of 1080p.

Most of the streamers seem to run 1080p - chasing those very high FPS numbers and perhaps helps to stream at 1080p though. I find the higher resolutions help in seeing players in the distance though

But I'd presume any new screen that the users gets would support 144Hz+ at 1440p. Assuming they have a decent GPU then the smarter buy would be the 1440p screen, imo.
When I was using my 2080 with my 1440p screen I can't remember the FPS for sure but I'm sure it was in the 90fps region. I think that was with most settings on high and disabling RTX. I should add that was only regular multiplayer but you'll be fine at 1440p I expect.

No idea, maybe it's time for me just to give up. Played another two games and got a grand total of one kill across 4 games. I've given up for the day.
