yeah it was me

create a .bat file with this is (winxp):

C:
cd "\program files\wolfenstein: enemy territory\"
del /s profile.pid

et.exe %*

then only launch enemy territory with .bat file (make sure it is sitting in ET folder)

for xfire you need to edit the ua_plugin.ini fiule in xfire folder. find the enemy territory entry and edit this line:

LauncherExe=ET.exe

to be:

LauncherExe=yourfile.bat

should work for you

Did you put them in:

Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain

Works without problems for me.

which is whats annoying.

Taken from properties....

C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain

thats the location of the file.

Longshot, as i havent got a clue. But do they have to be set as read only or not? Because when you download them they'd be set to read only, wouldnt they? :confused:

edit: Just checked, mine aren't read only.
