Can I cook a pizza on a BBQ?

Start it off in the dishwasher and then crisp it up on the BBQ.

Yes you can, I did it a few times a few summers ago where our hut only had a rubbish 2 ring electric stove but a rather nice communal BBQ.

Make your pizza (or just buy it from a shop :rolleyes:

) and stick it on a metal tray, thicker the better (mine was only a couple of mm), stick it on BBQ and wait... The tray was practically ruined after a month but the pizzas were om nom nom.

Funnily enough the only takeaway in the village we were staying in (tiny village in the middle of the Pyrenees) was a pizza place...

The same BBQ also cooked the worlds best steak!

The best pizzas are ones made in clay wood fired ovens which are basically a massive bbq.

put foil under it, build up a lot of heat with the lid on, chuck pizza in.... wait... nom.

it worked!!! I couldn't find any foil/metal but I did manage to stick it on a big riser until the lid... heated up to over 200c and fired it on.... nom nom nom!!!

It's not a take away one lol - It's from Walmart and just comes in a box like that (which greatly helped me get it back up to my room from the grill!).

If necessary I will post pics of the lid lol...

100% genuine store bought pizza!
