Can linux join a nt domain ?

    is it possible to get linux to join a nt domain,

    if so what distro ? and any advice

    Yeah Google winbind, its part of samba. Joining the domain is easy, getting it to authenticate to the AD is the fun part(although i haven’t tried it since Redhat 9). And once you have that lot done there’s a PAM module that will create a home directory for new AD users.

    Tis easy, samba v3 works well for this, winbind is the tool of choice for cross platform authentication.
