Trouble is, mistakes like that are down to previous players. All it's doing is amassing a database of characters and the related Yes/No/Maybe answers associated with them by previous players.
If everyone else has been answering 'Yes' to that question and then telling it Saruman was correct (or providing Saruman as an answer) then that's what it 'knows' to be correct.
It's a remarkably simple concept really, the genius of which lies in the fact you can uniquely identify a huge number of answers in relatively few terms.
Thought of Jill Valentine (currently masturbating) and it guessed it 1st go! Impressed

It didn't get Frank D'Amico from Kick Ass, took ages to get Vincent Corleone (Godfather), and quite easily got Mecha Streisand from South Park. 
Also didn't get the Sparrow Prince from South Park, but nailed Lemmiwinks right away.
