Put the gap between your fingers right against your eye and move the hand left and right small amounts..makes the effect easier to see.

Ah good well at least there's a few of you who can see it but it's still a mystery to me what it really is and you got to wonder what other stuff goes unnoticed most of the time, i suspect you've all noticed the static effect you get in low light conditions or those tiny points of light that move around, i read they are caused by the flow of blood as it makes an impression but they still look cool!

Totally! Thought it was just me. Know exactly what you mean mate. That latter is most obvious when looking at the sky.
