Change from p4 3.0ghz Prescott to AMD 3000+

    Is it worth changing from a P4 3.0ghz Prescott to an AMD 3000+ 64 (newcastle core i think)

    I wouldn't say so, I had a northwood at 3.3ghz and only really noticed a difference when i got a 2.5ish amd, even then the p4 had the benefit of hyperthreading.
