If you have already signed up for the free month on gold for the Xbox 360 then can you use the old xbox pack there shown with Halo 2 to extend the account? Does it work or do you have to create a new account?

It's a shame I didn't get this as it wasn't for me (I've got a Live! sub until March 2008 ).
