Good to know Thermalright is giving us support. Even late is better than nothing. I need to order several of these mounts as I have a bunch of thick based Thermalright coolers.

Big drop!

Suspect it's quieter too? What fan are you using?

Ultima 90 was released way back in 2007 measuring 55x110x138 with 6x 6mm heatpipes so cools very well.

I have several of Thermalright's old thick base coolers, including Ultima 129, Ultra 90, IFX-14, Cogage Arrow, Silver Arrow and HR-02. Also still have some of their GPU and motherboard component coolers.
What did mounting kit cost?

£14.12 (15 euros). Well they say it's free & you're only paying the postage, but we know that's BS! :p, not a bad price anyway :).
I'm using a 120mm PF artic cooling PWM fan (max speed ~1400 RPM) (yea it sticks out over the top of the HS). Initially it was slightly louder surprisingly, but then the fans were set to max in the bios. Now I have it on auto, it hovers around 1000 RPM (all core loaded) and is quieter :).
Yea the Ultima is an oldie ;), but works well! Seems like you have a ton of good old coolers you can use!

Not cheap, but at last mounts are available.

Not familiar with Arctic PF. It it like Arctic F12 PWM fan?
You might be able to make it even quieter by setting your own fan curve. I set mine (both cooler and case fans) to idle 450-600rpm (or as low as fan will spin if not that low) below 40c. Then ramp up to abut700-750@ 45c, 850-900rpm @ 55c, 1100-1150rpm @ 60c, 1250-1300rpm @ 65c, and full speed @ 70c. Sometime a little different depending on system and number of points in curve that can be set. Sometimes fan speed can be lowered 500-1000rpm with no or only 1-2c increase in temps. I render graphics a lot, so heavy loads cool and quiet is important. ;)

When I compared Thermalright Ultra 120 (6x6mm heatpipes; 63.5x132x160mm) with TY-143 fan (same fan as on NH-D14 and TRUE Spirit 140 Power) it was only 1.8-2c warmer than TS140P & NH-D14 respectively. I suspect Ultima is similar, maybe slightly warmer because of smaller fin pack.

I'm not familiar with the F12 ;).

I have already set a fan curve in the bios, by blind luck it looks like I got about the right speed for full load running on the 1st go! lol (my PC is on full CPU load 24/7/365, except when gaming). So I haven't tested out lower speeds.
Anyway, atm running Rosetta@home on 12 threads the CPU is at 63-64C with 24C ambient temp (no idea how accurate the latter figure is). That's with the fan at ~1k RPM.

hi, i was looking too for an AMD AM4 CPU Mount Upgrade for my silver arrow sb-e
i sent an email to the address present in this page (I have type B): http://thermalright.com/2017/02/21/thermalright-amd-am4-cpu-mount-upgrade/
they replyed the day after and told me to sent the same email to another address and then i receved the reply after 5 days with a paypal address for 14.99 euro.

i have only one doubt, the holes shown in that page are missing on my plates...i didn't understand if the new kit includes new plates with the proper holes.

assimilator1, can you tell what the kit includes?

The back plate? Yea sure, it's an essential part of the kit.

But their website for it says it's not compatible with the SBE version....

that's because for sb-E you need the type B:
