    Hi Peeps
It's been a while since I last bought any PC equipment and I'm very out of touch with all the new variations of this and that.

My question is I am in the market for a new graphics card and have a budget of about £80. I currently have an 8600GT that isn't cutting it with some of the newer games and was wondering with this measly budget is there anything out there that would significantly boost my FPS over the 8600GT.

    Cheers

Save up 20 notes more and get the 4870 512mb or for £119 get the 1gb version?

Alternativly just grab a cheap 8800 gts 512mb or somit.

I would have thought the ati 4850 would be quicker in most situations but both will be quicker for sure.

btw whats the rest of your rig, power supply especially as that might affect your possibilities.

Has to be the 4850 unless you got extra for the 4870 at £99

+1 for the 4850 - it will be a very nice step up in performance for you.
