Thats the one he went for - http://www.islingtoncitroen.co.uk/vehicle-details.asp?Make=14&RSpage=2&ID=985478 - brought it over today. Seems very tidy throughout. Obviously not a "drivers" car but more of a general family car which is what they wanted.

Looks like he made the right decision imho... The focus brigade will obviously disagree here...

What about the avensis? You can get a 2006 1.8vvti for the money. IMO better than the corolla and just as bomb proof. My lift share had one for 2 years and never had any problems with it.

edit. Sorry didn't read above post just all the fighting ones. Looks a nice car for the for the money and ticks all the boxes he wants.

Lets not get silly here. Both are 1.6 small family cars, no one buys them for performance.

I find the MK2 Focus incredibly bland but I'd still have one over the C4 because I really don't like the looks or interior.
