Shot these with a side light (desk lamp) and blocked the light from reaching the background. Basically similar to a snoot.

It's looking so beautiful. It like a smoke created by an ars of small particles of a suitable pigment. I think you get dye and consider the shape of your creation, you can make a smoke bomb that billows clouds of brightly-colored smoke.
