ok do this
try a new network cable

try it once like that

ping 192.168.1.1

open the browser and type 192.168.1.1

then start run cmd ipconfig /all

and once with the obtain an ip addy auto ticked

but make sure the firewall setting are disabled on that card

just wondering your network card is it NVIDIA nForce Networking Controlle and if it is did you install the firewall software that came with it if so uninstall it.

Do you believe we are getting anywhere or just guessing our way through hoping something is going to change?

Does anyone actually suspect a certain problem?

The latter, from the looks of it. Constantly trying to get a new DHCP lease without doing anything else (or randomly pushing buttons) ain't going to fix anything.

From the looks of it, there's something screwed between your machine and router, since a) it should be getting an IP automatically or b) if you manually set the IPs, everything should work fine.
The multiple posting and nonsensical replies doesn't make it easy to keep track of what exactly you've tried and what doesn't work though.

well if his router is config according to the pics then his router is config correctly, if his card is configured with and with out ip, and we have flush dns and release and renewed ip now the last part if that dont work then it either the card.
the ip he is getting is either when he hasnt got a dhcp or there wasnt a dhcp and now there is, in in order for us to loss the appipa ip we needed to do the steps we did.
