Hi Everyone,

I am about to upgrade my current set up to Ryzen for video editing. I just wondered if anyone would check my part list out to see if I made any bad choices or maybe put parts together that don't work well. I was kind of confused as to what ram and mobo to get so I kind of just picked a random one that sounded good.

I already have a GTX 970 and a good power supply so they are not on the list.

CPU (Comes with a fan):

Mobo:

Ram:

Boot SSD:

Optional m.2 SSD (Could use a normal SSD instead) to edit from:

3tb hard drive for storage:

Cheap case as I don't mind what its in as long as it works:

941.44 Pounds in total (Maybe can save money on the mobo with a smaller one and a normal ssd)

I was also looking at this deal which comes pre over clocked as I am not confident doing that sort of thing but not sure really:

Thanks for your time.

The Pro4 has a turbo M.2 slot and a slower M.2 slot. Stick the faster one in the turbo slot (if you happen to get 2 x M.2s by any chance).

But also, it's the faster drive that should be used as cache/scratch for your editing programs. The SM961 is a great choice for this. A regular SATA or SATA-speed M.2 like the Crucial MX300 would be fine for boot/programs drive. I'd go with 250GB boot and 250GB scratch disk.
